Kyleigh Wells | Registered Nurse Offering In-Person and Virtual Psychotherapy Sessions in Barrie

You do so much to help others, let me help you for a change.

Do you feel burnt out? Have experiences at work made you feel morally distressed? Do you feel stuck on a traumatic event that happened a while ago? I’m here to help you reset.

Working in a caring profession can be draining and it can be easy to take on other people’s suffering. After being raised by first responders (police officer and nurse) and working for many years as a Paediatric ICU nurse, the reality of burnout and PTSD are all too familiar. When you give so much of yourself to others, you can sometimes lose yourself. It doesn’t have to be this way.

I’m here to help you hold your ground and set appropriate boundaries. First Responders, including healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and more, see many things at work that may be hard to process. Decisions you have make on the job may not sit well with you morally. It might be hard to talk about work with people close to you. These experiences can have a profound impact on your life. You don’t have to carry those burdens alone. Let me help you heal so that you get unstuck and move forward.

I am passionate about helping those who serve our community. Whether you’re seeking therapy after experiencing a trauma, or wanting maintenance therapy to equip you for rough days, I am here to walk alongside you. Using evidence based therapies, including CBT and CPT, I can help you establish goals and process emotions and events so that you can get on with your life.

I am a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). I am being supervised by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and I can provide RP receipts (please check what your benefits cover). I draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and other modalities in my practice.

I support adolescents 14+ and adults who are seeking help.

My areas of specialization include:

First Responders

Trauma and PTSD

Chronic Illness

What Can You Expect if You Work With Me?

Often we try to apply bandaid fixes to our feelings and experiences. Using evidence-based techniques, therapy can help you carefully unpeel the layers and get to the root of the issue. This takes time. I’m here to help you along the way.

My office is located at 151 Essa Road, right at the intersection of Essa Rd. and Anne St. It is a clean and relaxed environment shared with other therapists like myself. As you enter, there is a waiting area where you can get some water or coffee while you wait.

Individual sessions are $170 (no tax) for 50 minutes. To reach me directly, email  kyleigh@lindsaytsang.com
