Life doesn’t always go the way we had planned. If you’re facing something tough and you feel alone, or if you are just feeling stuck, I’m here to help.
Many people struggle with mental health through their lives. I have had my own struggles too. As a teen and young woman, I spent many years battling a mental health disorder. With the help of an amazing therapist, I found the support and tools I needed to thrive. That care inspired me to support others as they face difficult seasons and challenges in life. I have been working in mental health-related fields for over a decade and in 2021 I graduated from my MACP to become a Registered Psychotherapist.
My approach is gentle and laid back. I work with clients to develop a flexible treatment plan that incorporates modalities that you are comfortable trying. We work at your pace and adjust as needed.
I believe that everyone deserves to life a happy and full life. I work with adults and young people facing a variety of challenges. I offer an empathetic space where clients can feel heard and supported. In sessions we will explore thoughts, emotions, circumstances and practice finding healthy and effective strategies to meet your therapeutic goals.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I draw from a wide range of modalities such as person-centered, trauma-informed, emotionally focused, attachment-based therapy. I blend CBT, DBT, ACT and other modalities to support my clients.
I support adolescents 14+ and adults who are seeking help.
My areas of specialization include:
Depression
Trauma
Anxiety
Eating Disorders
Reproductive Trauma
As you navigate whatever you're facing right now, my goal is to be present and provide you with the care and tools you need to move forward.
In session we’ll discuss and process what you need that day. If you are feeling stuck, we will together identify unhelpful patterns and work on strategies to meet your goals.
My office is located at 151 Essa Road, right at the intersection of Essa Rd. and Anne St. It is a clean and relaxed environment shared with other therapists like myself. As you enter, there is a waiting area where you can get some water or coffee while you wait.
Individual sessions are $170 (no tax) for 50 minutes. To reach me directly, email leah@lindsaytsang.com
