Does life feel overwhelming? You are feeling stuck in your relationship or trying to navigate a major life change? I’m here to help.
If you’re feeling stuck in the same patterns in your relationship, or if you’re reeling from life events, I’ve been there. In my 20s, I got married, moved across the world, built a career as a high school teacher, had a couple kids, and adopted several pets. In my 30s, the political climate changed and we had to pack up, say goodbye to friends, lose the pets and move back to Canada. Bruce Feiler describes major life transitions as "lifequakes" which he says happen to most adults every 12-18 months. It might be a loss, a move, a new relationship, a diagnosis, a new job, a baby, kids going to school--our lives are constantly evolving. Being in a relationship and juggling communication and quality time in the midst of those changes only adds complexity.
I didn't go through all those changes unscarred. At every turn I had to reset my direction--I relied on my friends, several good authors, and family members to process my thoughts. My wife and I went through a season with an excellent couples therapist to help us process, communicate, and reimagine our new life.
I know what it's like to grieve an old life and for life plans to go sideways. If you're feeling lost, anxious, confused, helpless, numb, angry, betrayed, or misunderstood I've been there too. That's why I know it's possible to land on your feet, find new purpose and thrive as you move forward.

Every day has its own challenges. I will ask you what you want to work on today--maybe you need a listening ear, or maybe you want to practice skills. We'll take it one day at a time with our sights on your overall life goals and dreams. Together we will identify unhelpful patterns and offer alternatives that can help move you in the direction you hope to go.
My office is located at 151 Essa Road, right at the intersection of Essa Rd. and Anne St. It is a clean and relaxed environment shared with other therapists like myself. As you enter, there is a waiting area where you can get some water or coffee while you wait.
Individual sessions are $170 (no tax) for 50 minutes. To reach me directly, email peter@lindsaytsang.com
